History
The Small Animal Teaching Hospital was established in 2015 but formally opened in June 2016 in response to Ghana Veterinary Council’s requirement for the School of Veterinary Medicine to have a teaching facility for clinical training of veterinary student.

Our Mandate
The mandate of the SVM is to train and equip veterinary professionals to manage, control and prevent diseases of livestock, companion animals or pets, wildlife, or exotic animals and in addition, to prevent and control diseases which are transmissible from animals to humans.
